London's Most Romantic Bars

KLEEK have lined up some of what we believe to be London’s best bars, for all you lucky London lovebirds.

The Oxo Tower, Southbank

Little more says ‘be mine’ than a romantic walk along The River Thames, followed by dinner and/or cocktails at The Oxo Tower on Southbank. Panoramic views of London town, jazz music and super quality food and drink are the reasons that The Oxo is such a cult classic.

L is for the way you look at me..

Galvin at Windows Bar, Mayfair

One of the main draws of this very impressive Mayfair bar on the 28th floor of the London Hilton Hotel is that it has a complete 360 degree of this fantastic city. The charming adjoining restaurant also serves up some of the cities finest French fair. This refined establishment will surely impress those who are a sucker for a good view, and of course the finer things in life.

O is for the only one I see…

Purl, Marylebone

Nestled in a basement in Marylebone hidden away from the rest of busy London, Purl is another beautiful bar for London’s cocktail lovers. Eccentric and whimsical drinks make for delectable first date conversation and cosy enclaves allow you a little muster of privacy. Purl is one of Marylebone’s hidden gems.

V is very, very extraordinary…

Nightjar, Old Street

We can’t get enough of London speakeasies whether you’re wanting a fantastic first date, or a little catchup with your loved one. With sublime cocktails, music and hopefully- company, feel like you’ve been transported back to the pre-Second World War 1920/30s. Live jazz also means there is an old-school (and louder) vibe to this bar, compared with the aforementioned Purl. Quite the hotspot- for privacy we suggest you ring ahead and reserve a booth.

E is even more than anyone that you adore and…

Gordon's Wine Bar, Embankment

Claiming to be London’s oldest wine bar (and also worst kept secret), Gordon’s emanates history and you can feel it oozing it from every wall. Having stood in its current form since 1890, sitting upstairs or outside is an option, or alternatively you can take your chances and sit in the vaults which we recommend. If you can name something that sounds like a better date than candles, antipasti, wine and stunning underground enclaves, you’ve stumped us.

… love is all that I can give to you. Love is more than just a game for two.

The Gilbert Scott, Kings Cross St. Pancras

In the heart of St. Pancras, ornate ceiling decorations, inventive cocktails and with some of the most beautiful decor, it would be hard not to impress a date with a trip to The Gilbert Scott. Cocktails wise we recommend the ever on trend Rhubarb Gimlet, that comes with ‘Victoria’s rhubarb gin, rhubarb bitters, fresh lime’ . The Gilbert Scott also does a rather tasty brunch menu (in case your date goes REALLY well).

Two in love can make it, take my heart and please don’t break it, love was made for KLEEK and you.
